Wetzel's two-toed sloth (Choloepus sp.) is a cryptid tree sloth reported from Brazil, Peru, and possibly Ecuador. Zoologist Ralph Wetzel (1917—1984), discoverer of the Chacoan peccary, collected reports of this third species of two-toed sloth from the Upper Amazon, but died before being able to settle the matter.[1]
