Vladimir Mikhailovich Pushkarev (Владимира Михайловича Пушкарёва; disappeared 1978 or 1979), sometimes known by the diminutive Volodya Pushkarev (Володи Пушкарёва), was a Russian geologist and cryptozoologist who investigated cryptids of the taiga and tundra of northern Russia, including cryptohominids and woolly mammoths.[1][2] During his expeditions, he collected accounts of various forest-dwelling cryptohominids,[3][4] including the yag-morte, kul, tungu, and chuchunaa.[5] Pushkarev disappeared during a solo expedition to the Khulga Basin in October 1978.[6][7]
