Real Rodan

Real Rodan is a winged cryptid reported from Japan.

One morning in November 2020, around 7:00 a.m., a mother and daughter were driving through the area near the border between Miyazaki and Kumamoto prefectures when a winged creature flew toward the car from the mountains. The creature, which resembled a bird larger than the car, nearly collided with the car, but just barely avoided hitting it.

During this approach, the two were able to clearly see the bird-like creature. The daughter could clearly see the bird's eyes, which were red and very different from those of other birds. The wings were feathers, not membranous wings.

The mother and child reported this experience to Bintaro Yamaguchi, a cryptid researcher in Japan. He posted the report on the Tokyo Sports website, where he writes a column. Bintaro called the cryptid Real Rodan, after the pterosaur monster "Rodan" that appears in Japanese monster movies.
