The ngoroli (Zandé: "water elephant"[1]) is a water lion reported from the Central African Republic's Vovodo River.[1][2][3] It is described as a hairy animal 10' long and 4' 6'' at the shoulder, with long teeth or tusks. It kills hippopotamuses, crocodiles, and fishes.[1]

Other water lions include the coje ya menia, the dilali, the mamaimé, the mourou-ngou, the ntambo wa luy, the nzefu-loi, and possibly the dingonek.
