A neopterosaur is reported from Namibia, described as a large, featherless flying animal with a near 30' wingspan.[1][2]
No native name for the cryptid is known—though a "flying snake" called the noya a thaba is also reported from Namibia—leading Jaroslav Mareš to coin the name vulture-dragon (supodrak) to refer to it.[3] It has also sometimes been lumped together with the much smaller kongamato of Zambia.[4]
