The ndegi (Mbuti: "bird") was a cryptid reported from the Ituri Rainforest, in the northeastern Democratic Republic of the Congo. It was described by the Mbuti people to Attilio Gatti as an enormous flying bird taller than a man, but was also said to be covered with "thick, heavy hair" all over, except for its feathered wings, and to have a monkey-like head.
