The Kigezi turaco was a cryptid turaco bird reported once from Uganda's Kigezi District (now known as the Kabate District) by ornithologist John G. Williams (1913 - 1997) and a number of other ornithologists, who described it as a slender, green-feathered bird with "very little red on the wings".[1][2] Zoologist Jonathan Kingdon suggested it may have been a southern Ruwenzori turaco (Tauraco johnstoni), which shows little of its red wings during short flights.[1]
