The feihu (飞虎; Chinese: "flying tiger") is a cryptid report from China, specifically the mountainous regions of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region. It is described as a gliding animal capable of remaining airborne for up to 19' to 29' using its membranous wings, and has brownish-yellow fur. It is said to live in groups which roost in bushes, and attacks people, diving onto the back or shoulders, and biting the neck to drink the blood. As a protective measure, local people often wear towels around their necks. It may be an unknown species of flying mammal, or an sanguivorous bat similar to the vampire bats (family Desmodontinae).[1][2]
