The fating'ho is a cryptid small hominid reported from the dense forests of Senegal and northern Guinea.[1][2] It has black fur and red eyes, and, like the sehite, it is said to have long hair on its head.[2]

According to folklore, a hunter from Diaroume in Senegal captured a female fating'ho, and succesfully tamed and had children with her. Their daughter, named Na Fancani, was said to be a great beauty, and her descendants still lived in the area in 1945.[2]

In November 1992, Entomologist Malang Mane, whilst collecting specimens at an altitude of 3,600 feet in a forested area of northern Guinea, claimed to have seen a man-sized, black-haired animal with a large head walk up to within a few feet of him, before it ran away.[2] Mane was certain that the animal was not a chimpanzee or a gorilla.[3]
