Illustration of a devil monkey by William Rebsamen, incorporating some details of phantom kangaroos.
Devil monkeys are cryptid primates reported from the United States, described as large, baboon-like animals with long tails and pointed ears.[1] Loren Coleman has suggested that many phantom kangaroo sightings may in fact be sightings of devil monkeys,[2] while George Eberhart writes that distinctions between devil monkeys, napes, hairy bipeds, and Bigfoot may be arbitrary.[1]
