David C. Xu (born 15 November 1977) is a Chinese senior editor, chief editor, and middle manager for media and IT industries and writer with a "keen interest" in cryptozoology. He is the author of Mystery Creatures of China, the first English-language work on the unknown animals of China, which describes hundreds of cryptids for the first time in English. He holds an M.A. in media and globalization from Nottingham Trent University in the United Kingdom, and currently resides in Beijing, China.[1]
