Christine Marie Janis is a British palaeontologist who sat on the Board of Directors of the International Society of Cryptozoology.[1] She has written on mammalian cryptids including the Nandi bear, devil pig, giant rabbits, waitoreke, Ethiopian deer, and Ethiopian hyrax, as well as on possible archaeological evidence of late-surviving prehistoric mammals, such as sivatheres, chalicotheres, and giant hyraces.[2][3]
