As well as listing the cryptids originally classified by Karl Shuker as ultra-mysterious beasts, this wiki has adopted the term "ultra-mysterious beast" to refer to any cryptid which fits Shuker's criteria: (1) apparently flagrantly defying zoological realities; (2) chimaera-like; (3) often not reported again after the initial sighting.
