The black-and-white ape was a cryptid ape reported from the Ituri Rainforest in the Democratic Republic of the Congo. It was described as a big animal with a coat of long hair, black on the back and white on the rest of the body. Anyone who sees it is said to die in atrocious agony.[1][2]

Ivan T. Sanderson speculated that it may be one and the same as the Ituri's mulahu,[1] with which George Eberhart also synonymises it.[3]
