Bagge's black bird was a cryptid giant bird reported once from Uganda's Lake Bujuku, south of Mount Speke in the Ruwenozori Mountains. A number of them were reportedly seen in 1898 at an altitude of 9,000 feet by a guide of civil servant Stephen Salisbury Bagge, who described them as black birds the size of sheep, with an alarm call like the bellowing of a bull.[1][2]
