Attilio Gatti was an Italian-American explorer, writer, and filmmaker who, across several expeditions to Africa, investigated and sought out several cryptids, most prominently the cryptohominid mulahu of the Ituri Rainforest, and the giant red gorilla of Kivu.[1] Although some of his data has been considered suspect and exaggerated,[2] Chad Arment writes that "he was sincere in his search for an unknown anthropoid ape."[1]
